First impression was “spicy.” Bright red fruits. There is a tingle…. almost effervescent. Must be the acid. A light to medium body. A touch of sweetness that is in perfect balance with acid. The finish is smooth, but not very long. There is not a lot of structure, and the tannins are light. Not a wine to cellar long term. I purchased three bottles. At $25, it is a great value. I will see if the merchant has six more. |

Nose is quite dark, darker than I expected, black cherry, plum, ripe but not overripe, with a slight minty herbiness on the finish. Palate is slightly underripe black fruits, dusty herbs, very slightly floral, good acidity and a decently long finish. It’s good but I think I was just hoping for a bit more wildness. This would be good for dinner with your California Pinot-loving parents. It is getting better with air though so maybe hold onto it for a little while longer. |

Nice acidity and balance. Long, gradual finish, melons and a saline note. Nice. Needs a bit of cut. Richer and fuller, more cut with air. Drink next 3 to 4 years. 70% Godello, 13% Albarino and 8% Treixadura in all stainless. |

Unaufdringliche Klebstoffnoten und ein wenig Marzipan sind ebenfalls auszumachen. Alles ganz zart, fast fragil, dennoch intensiv und glasklar. Am Gaumen saftige Erdbeere, Himbeere, Kirsche, weißer Pfeffer, mittelkräftig, frisch und (trotz seiner 13,5% Alkohol) leicht und weich wie Wattewolken. Tannine und Säure sind in perfekter Balance, der Nachhall lang und pikant, begleitet von angenehmen Gerbstoffnoten. Schnörkelloser, ehrlicher und unheimlich feiner Wein. Ich finde das grandios. Glänzt zudem mit schwer zu toppendem PLV. |

10/17/2021 - WineKnurd Likes this wine: 90 pointsUsed this as part of the sauce in the shrimp scampi I made tonight; wanted the saline mineral acidity to add a solid acidic backbone since I love to add paprika and extra red pepper flakes, plus the natural lemon zest in the wine being additive to the fresh lemon squeezed at serving. Wasn't disappointed, and actually prefer this to an Italian white like Soave, Orvieto, or other Trebbiano based wines that are less citrus and more herbal. And drinking with the dish is a no-brainer. Adding this additional note as the $15 price isn't just food friendly but won't make you cringe when you use it for cooking. A- (90) eval. |

Saline, lemon zest and some grassy notes with hints of pear. Textbook Albarino acidity. A bit more complex than I was expecting, picked up a few bottles sub-$20; I see no issue with an A- (90) evaluation. |
