Full, forward, & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of briary & earthy/dusty notes, spices, dried herbs, cocoa, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced, & smooth textured, rich, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries and blueberries with spices, herbs, minerals, dark cocoa & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. |

Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe fruit aromas of please & citrus notes of lemons & limes, some stone fruits with overtones of floral notes & minerals & herbs. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of apples & lemon/lime with minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Quite enjoyable at present but appears to have the fruit & structure to continue developing for another year or so. A crisp & refreshing Summertime wine with a good QPR. |

Smooth, spicy on the palate with blackberries, black cherries and plum. Wife says dried fruit and unsweetened cocoa. A little oak. Spice, graphite on the medium finish. The very soft tannins and medium acidity take somewhat of a back seat to the dark fruit and spice notes. Some warmth from the alcohol. Off-dry. Medium body. Bold yet somehow reserved. I’m wishing that it had additional fruit, say raspberry or strawberry on the palate. Something to brighten it up a bit. It’s definitely tasty but could benefit from that addition. Did not have with food. |
