With air and at ~70 degree serving temperature, it is rich dry black cherry dominated with medium body, silky mouthfeel and ample acidity to lengthen and lightly energize the spicy finish. At PnP and cooler temperature, it is more Burgundian in nature. Lots of life left. IMHO, awesome. |

Time has melded the flavors; the pear, citrus, etc are not as distinguishable, but the fruit aspect still stands out. This has evolved into a very nice wine, maybe not with the individual fruit aspects jumping out, but still full of fruit. I'm sure this will provide good drinking for several years, but that may involve the fruit fading a bit. Longer term drinking could be interesting, but I tend to prefer the fruit and will look to drink my remaining bottles near term. |

I think these are losing some zip going on 7 years in bottle. Having said that they scream drink me with a cornucopia of fruit from the green, citrus and touching into stone fruit. I would drink now this highly quaffable nectar. Current score is based on this bottles structural softening not the overall composition of that makes sense? If this still had the verve (or if an off bottle) the score would be higher. |

Feels like gentle malolactic gives some creaminess but this chard has a balance of fruit/ acidity and oak. Acidity was solid but higher acidity and deeper fruit profile would have made this a ridiculous chard. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in the wine. |
