It's a lovely wine, though, a good example of what Washington can do with Bordeaux grapes and a steal when you can get it for $32 at Costco (vs. $75 at the winery). Quite the opposite of the sweet oakmonster Fidelitas M100 also on the table. |

This one surprised us and was pretty good. Nose of dark fruits and some dirt and stone. Taste showed red cherries and a fruit forward flavor. This is more refreshing than most Merlots. Wasn’t expecting much from this wine, but it delivered bold flavors and big fruit. I would definitely drink this again but am not certain I want to pay $48 for a Merlot. |

The tobacco and wood notes lead but as the evening progressed the fruit notes of cherry and plum came back to the fore front and integrated. Tannins are pretty soft, and it was smooth, just about the time we finished the bottle. It needs a decant! I think it still has some bottle time left, but I wouldn't wait too long if you are still cellaring. |
