I am still struggling with BdM despite trying many and spending a week tasting in the region. They are still quite primary for my tastes . This one, however, had more complexity than most. Really round cherry fruit, great acid (Melissa described as pineapple) and a greenish compex nose. |

Airy, unforced in texture, but grippy and pleasantly angular on the finish, as it should be. Raw, untamed, real sangiovese. I love it. Ready to drink. |

Nose of really pure cherries with some rich floral notes. Palate was just a lovely rich dusty, earthy cherry with perfectly integrated tannins and really nice acidity. It was absolutely perfect with carbonara. |

The fruit concentration in this wine is clearly Riserva and it has incredible structure on the backend. While this is still just an infant in its evolution, it is hard to resist now. Still a bit tanic but the fruit is just shining thru. More a cranberry pomegranate profile but its quality is undeniable. Give this another 7-10 years and it’s going to become a very fine bottle of wine. Today 91 ish but a lot of upside. |
