3/9/2024 - Robin & Emma Likes this wine: 89 pointsTasted at Virgin Wines event. A medium-rich off-dry style, but with a fine thread of acidity that lends shoulders to the apple and grape fruitiness. |

2/4/2022 - Jessie and Max Likes this wine: 91 pointsThis was our first time drinking an aged Riesling, and we found the color - a very striking dark coppery amber - striking. On the nose, definite honey, with a little petrol and a bit of a floral quality that went well with the honey. On the palate, it was very full-bodied for a white, with high acid that was backstopped well by the body and the sweetness, which was definitely there but not too intense or cloying. 8% alcohol, and still more honey on the palate to mirror the nose, lingering on the finish. |

9/8/2018 - Champagneinhand Likes this wine: 88 pointsA bit thin, but nice white florals, orchard fruit, tropical fruit. No real petrol or many of the things I associate with great kabinetts but the is my first bottle from this producer. It’s clean and pretty sweet. Good value similar to Loosen vintage Kabs. |

2/6/2010 - DollarMenunaire wrote: 90 pointsExtra point for QPR. Appley and simple upon opening, so I aerated it and put back into the open bottle for an hour and aerated again. Nose has honeysuckle and a hint of mineral funk. Dried apricots, lemon drops, and late-emerging botrytis spice on the weighty palate. At first not much lift on the palate, but you get the acid a bit more on the back end with some restrained slate mineral. Better at room temperature... medium finish. Sweetness and richness of the palate and stands over the acid and mineral a bit too much early on, but the wine continues to greatly improve over several hours and made me re-think it. That and the waft of Mosel stink that I got when I poured the wine through the aerator tells me that it will indeed develop and keep for some years. |

2/4/2010 - petitblanc wrote: 85 pointsSlightly dark pineapple color. Nose of apple pie, honey, white flowers. Initially lots of apple on the palate, which evolved with air to show a more cloying, honeyed grapiness. Similar finish. Generally fairly clean and pure, ready to drink, I see no benefit to significant cellar time. I doubt I would buy more to drink, but this would be perfect for poaching pears. AM picked this up fairly cheaply at Trader Joe's. |

4/13/2009 - fingers wrote: 84 pointsMedium gold, about 15% saturated. Nose is straight honey with a little orange peel and ginger root, medium-light intensity. Medium body, medium-light acidity. Nice sweet fruit flavor with a touch of tartness but quite simple and not fully balanced. At $15, not bad at all as a cheap dessert or as a good way to setup before a great late-harvest wine.
