Cranberry, sour strawberry. So I threw it into a decanter for about an hour. After the hour, it was a great pairing for a grilled prime NY Strip. After dinner though, the fruit came to the forefront as this mellowed out a bit. Really interesting to taste this over a 4 hour period. My suggestion is to decant this wine for 1.5 to 2 hours before drinking. |

9/19/2021 - flwinos wrote: 93 pointsPopped and let breathe for about 45 minutes before consumption. It did not *need* a decant, and we did not decant, but it may have benefited from a decant. Fruit forward with some tannins left. Paired with a filet and a NY Strip, but the wine drank better on its own after several hours of air in the bottle. |

9/4/2021 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsDecanted for one hour and consumed over 1.5 hours after that. Powerful nose of rose petals, cherry. Nice cherry and cranberry fruit predominant on the palate. Drinking pretty well at this point in time. Paired with meat sauce over pasta and it complemented the meal nicely. |

8/8/2021 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsDecanted for about an hour before consumption. This wine is very interesting. To me, it was a constant give and take between a strong cranberry note, and some sweet oak that is still in the mix. Overall, this is more Bordeaux like IMO. A bit different than other vintages of this wine. I really enjoyed this, paired with filet and NY Strip. |

1/3/2021 - flwinos wrote: 92 pointsA range of tasting notes on this wine. Not sure if this is due to bottle variation or just perception. To me I do see what others are saying that the wine is a bit thin and restrained, with lower tannin. With that said, I did get a healthy dose of cherry, leather, sandalwood, and the wine showed relatively well for me. My only concern is that there was very little tannin left on the wine, and with muted fruit, this wine may not be a candidate for cellaring for many more years. I hope I am wrong, as I have 3 left. |

Certainly lower tannin on this wine, but I don't see it falling off a cliff anytime soon. However, it may not get any better IMO. No detailed notes taken on the flavor profile. |
