4/1/2024 - rosuoter Likes this wine: NRThis wine is always a safe bet for me. Glad to have a couple more in the cellar. PnP. Under DIAM 10. Deep ruby/garnet core, wide tile-red rim. Classy nose - licorice, violets, damson fruit - with underlying tar and old furniture notes. Very good depth of darker fruit on the palate, tannins are firm but fine. A touch of astringency at the end that disappears with further aeration. Good length finish. Lovely Barolo. |

Pine, cedar sawdust, and dried rose petals in the bouquet. Mouth is muted cherries, very little acidity, finishing with noticeable tannins. 5/18/2023 - DevenStephens Does not like this wine: 82 pointsYeah... no. Normally find it hard to find a bad Barolo but this one manages to do that. You do get some floral notes and some sour cherry but it's simply undrinkable. The acidity is off and the tannins are unpleasant and it leaves a weird chemical aftertaste. Only reason I still give it above 80pts is because the smell is decent. So maybe with time it'll get better (it's a 2019) but who would want to age 30$ Barolo? At this price there are so many good Langhe or Barbarescos that would be so much better than this sad use of Nebbiolo. |

5/3/2023 - vinus_operandi Likes this wine: 92 pointsdeep garnet in color with almost no bricking which i found somewhat surprising given its age. classic aromatics of dried rose and wet earth. on the palate the wine shows cherry, raspberry, and licorice. great overall depth of fruit combines with good acidity to yield a surprisingly good normale. there's a long finish to this wine with a nice overall mouthfeel. the wine will age for many more years. |

The nose was slightly oxydized at opening and then stabilized to ripe cherry marinated in alcohol, and some spices, like pepper and clove . Structure was still alive with bright acidity. Not a lot of nuances nor special elegance in the wine, but still enjoyable and a tribute to this vintage's endurance. We had a good time, for sure. |

En bouche c’est léger, sur une acidité franche avec des tannins serrés mais sans rugosité, très peu de rondeur. Il était meilleur le premier soir qu’après 2 jours sous vacuvin, ce qui témoigne que c’est un vin à boire dans sa jeunesse, et si possible, en vidant la bouteille. |
