12/25/2021 - tederf Likes this wine: 94 pointsChristmas Eve dinner with friends. Two hour decant. Main course was standing rib roast and this paired perfectly. Such a yummy wine. Tannins softened over the years. Vanilla, cherry and some raspberry. Lucky I have one more in the cellar. |

3/21/2020 - tederf wrote: 92 pointsExcellent Mourvedre. Drank on Hardy's Zoom virtual tasting. Upon opening - aroma of cinnamon. Agree with Hardy's comments and others --- red raspberry, other red berries. Nice spices maybe rosemary. A bit of funk and earth. Not "heavy" at all. Went well with the music. Second night with dinner - went well with food. |

2006 Le Clos d'un Jour Cahors Un Jour sur TerreMalbec Blend, Malbec more |
3/11/2020 - tederf wrote: 90 pointsStill has life and drinking nicely. Has the expected deep, darkness of the Malbecs from Cahors. Very dark fruit - cherry, raspberry, plum. Spices and leather. Got what I thought was some oak - but these were aged in clay pots. |

3/11/2020 - tederf wrote: 90 pointsVery nice sweetie - esp at the end of an evening of Southwest France wines. Got the honey, orange peel and caramel. Not quite up to a 2001 Yquem but not a bad way to end the meal. |

3/6/2020 - tederf wrote: 95 pointsTook to dinner at Forsythia with Amanda and Robert. Opened about 5 hours prior to dinner and decanted entire time. This bottle was beautiful. Robert requested a "big and bold" wine -- this one filled the bill. Dark, dark fruit. Well integrated tannins. Some spice and pepper. Paired very well with the foie and the pork. Everyone enjoyed this one. Very happy to have one more bottle in the cellar. |

6/1/2019 - tederf wrote: 91 pointsAlthough a bit $$$ for Rosé - this was very tasty even with the 3 years sitting in my cellar. Strawberry flavors and good acid. Not sweet at all. Serve chilled --- lost some flavor as it got warm. |
