Golden yellow colour. On the nose, chardonnay dominant profile. Buttery, yeasty, mineral, bready. On the palate - vibrant lemon zest, beautiful acidity, a touch of sweetness and bread. The texture is lovely. Still very fresh and alive. It's difficult for me to score this wine because I really have nothing else to compare it to. Paired with sushi.

Ripe fruit, flavourful, attractive at first sip. Probably a very good place right now in terms of bottle age. Cherry, herbs, toasty oak. Everything is well integrated at this point. Acidity is balanced, alcohol is hot.

I can't say this wine really reminded me of other Ripasso style wines I've had in the past. This wine didn't improve with air. Probably will not improve with more bottle age.

This is drinking extremely well right now. I would drink up within the next year or two. Slight bricking. Nose is strawberry with balsamic notes. Some VA. On the palate, great weight for Nebbiolo, integrated but drying tannins, Swedish berries, somewhat hot. Wine was open about 4 hours at the time of these notes. Very much looking forward to my remaining bottles.

Color is light with bricking at the rim. Nose is toasty caramel dominated. On the palate, very high acidity, red currants and toasted oak notes. Drink now as this has probably peaked.

Drinking well right now. Great fruit concentration, oak integrated well. On the nose, rich fruit with a peaty smoky note. On the palate, toasty blue fruit with an earthy subtext. Drinking very well right now but has great stuffing. Check back in 2 years.

On the nose, definitely starting to pick up that 'aged' smell. Some balsamic notes with herbs and red fruit. On the palate, good acidity and tannins are integrating nicely. Medium body. Eucalyptus, herbs, and cherry. Comes across a little bit hot giving that cherry cough syrup effect but it's not that bad. Good depth of fruit and this wine could probably go for another few years. At this price point this wine is a winner and is really great with food. Glad I have more.

2 years later, there is much less fruit characteristics than in my previous note for this wine. The nose is burnt sugar, creme brûlée, heavy toasted oak influence.

Heavy mouthfeel, somewhat hot. Still quite tannic. Port-like. I'm not quite sure whether this wine will harmonize with age or whether the oak will become even more overpowering. It's very monolithic right now. I'm not really loving it but I might just forget about my last bottle for a couple more years to see what happens.

On the nose, anise and fennel with dark bramble fruit. On the palate, blackberry, anise and espresso with a sweet dry tannin finish. Very interesting herbal components to this wine but it's a bit disjointed right now. I would recommend holding for a few years. Would have guessed this was Northern Rhone. Definitely an AFWE wine.

Nose is an attractive but faint mix of honey and stone fruit. Very nice acidity, flavour like slightly tart peaches. Medium body. Slightly pithy finish. Recommend serving this at cellar temperature. Very enjoyable and probably will improve with a bit of age, but it's missing that 'next gear' that makes me want to buy more and cellar.

Admittedly I'm inexperienced with white burg and Chard in general but this seems to hit that middle of the spectrum that ranges from tart green apple to buttery popcorn chard. Beautifully balanced and great body and length. Glad I bought a bunch of these. Will probably open my remaining bottles of this wine over the next 2 years.

This wine is in a very strange place right now. It's coming across as a bit transitional. The fruit characteristics are fading away and the Ricola, herbal, vegetal components are starting to come through. It's a bit hot and a bit acidic. Liked this wine better when it was fresher but may hold off on my remaining bottles to see if it completes the transition to the savory side of the spectrum.

This wine is peaking right now. Kresolution nailed the tasting notes. Nice backbone of acidity keeps it fresh. Recommend chilling slightly and open bottle 1 hr before serving.

This wine is drinking extremely well right now. Nose is very mineral and tropical fruit (peach, passion fruit, guava). Body is medium full, with beautiful acidity. Mid palate is almost buttery, with a zesty peach, lime, passion fruit finish. Really beautiful stuff - feels like a special moment in the evolution of this wine.

On my second bottle, the wine is improving but evolving slowly. Still requires a couple of hours of air to open up but has beautiful weight and structure. Well integrated sweet herbaceousness. Will hold off for another year or more before opening another bottle but I really like where this wine is headed.

This wine is definitely on the thin and acidic side as a previous reviewer noted but its pleasure can be maximized by pairing it with a heavy saucy meal. Tonight I paired it with a mushroom risotto and it actually held together fairly well and was reasonably refreshing. Sour cherry and toasty oak on the mid palate with a stemmy somewhat green tannic finish. Drink up because I can't see this improving with age.

This was a let down. Generic, gloopy, overextracted and flabby. Probably could find the same quality from a $16 bottle from some new world mass producer. After the wine had been open about 4 hours it started to show some cigar box notes but far too little too late.

Slightly aged, brick color. Nose is very savoury - garlic, soy sauce and onion powder with choke cherry brightness. On the palate, ummami, soy sauce, aromatic herbs, sour cherry, strawberry and chocolate on the finish. Nice mouthfeel and long finish. Tart acidity and powdery tannins on the finish. This wine evolves with every mouthful... has the potential to age. Will probably stash a 1/2 case away for 5 years and see how it develops. Very good with food. 90-92.

Classic Rioja nose - Concentrated dried red fruits and earthy toasty sweet oak. On the palate, also classic Rioja. Bright red fruits - concentrated cranberry intertwined with sweet oak. Finishes very long with sweet chocolate and pipe tobacco notes (the only criticism is that it may be a bit sweet on the finish). The acidity is balanced which helps brighten the obvious oak influence. Very enjoyable and I think this can still even improve with cellaring.

Color is very deep black cherry with a brown rim. On the nose - coffee, chocolate, plum and cedar. Full bodied, very good mid palate, very long finish. Tannins are medium-full and tend to get stronger with air. Luscious, ripe, fruity but well structured. Blackberry, black cherry, lots of dark fruit and chocolate characteristics. Mint or eucalyptus as is typical. Very good acidity - tangy finish.

Golden straw color. On the nose, cashews and orange, and a slight bit of oak and slate. On the palate, apple peel, lemon, with a pear finish. Somewhat flat mid palate, fairly long finish. Mid-body. Very good acidity. Dry hard cider kind of feel. 88-90
