A little past its prime as the fruit elements are dull and non-descript. Lots of earthiness, mushroom, wet soil, leather, slate, etc. Opens up a little as it sits in the glass but I do believe I held this too long.

60 grenache. The villages wine has 20% Mourvèdre which makes it more powerful. Dark and fruity on he nose. Lots of structure there. Made like the chateauneuf. Full cluster because they want the wine to have a full spine. But not a long maceration with the stems. No temperature control.

GMs - Casual Fridays August 2017: Stem, toast, meaty and raspberry notes. Medium length, moderate depth and a little green stemmy character as well. If it had more depth it would be good but not quite enough there.
