"Don Pietro Rosso is a so-called Sicilian Bordeaux blend of native Nero d’Avola with international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Dedicated to Don Pietro, the founder of the winery and father of the current owner, it is the first wine ever bottled by the Spadafora winery in 1993 to honor Don Pietro’s recent passing.

This is an elegant red: more about details than power, with refined tannins, a plush texture and mouthwatering acidity structuring the flavors of black olive, sun-dried black cherry, licorice drop and grilled herb.
