November 23, 2020 - smooth, good backbone and reasonable complexity

May 9, 2018 - dark, purplish. rich, unevolved plummy nose with a caressing, bit spicy quality. marked but well integrated tannins, good acidity and fine overall balance. after an hour atouch of floweriness emerges. needs about 3 years to blossom

April 23, 2016 - 85? Fugetaboutit! WS says 90 pts and I agree. This has ample structure and near perfect balance of fruit, tannin, and acidity, plus an excellent qpr! What's not to like? I'm partial to good Italian reds and this did not disappoint!

March 30, 2016 - Just OK for me. Very drinkable but no outstanding features. I found it a bit dry, but full bodied. My wife thought it was fruity. Just not a fit for my palate.
