2014 Best's Great Western Shiraz Bin No 0

See wine details

Tasting Note
Colour Inky dark red with a bright purple hue.
Nose Floral and lifted spice aromas mingle with the jubey fruit and meaty/ black olive notes. Subtle oak, cinnamon, bay leaf and peppermint fill the background.
Palate Intense and brooding flavours of cool fruits and warm spices create a plush mouthfeel around the fresh minerality and the long rolling finish. A classic Bin 0 that will drink well now with food, but will benefit from some more time in bottle.

Will reward both short term to long term cellaring (20 years+).

Try it with a Moroccan Slow Cooked Lamb Tagine served on a bed of Couscous mixed with finely chopped fresh mint, pomegranate and almonds.

Vintage Conditions
A relatively cool season apart from a mid-summer heat wave. Although yields were much lower than normal, good vineyard management ensured the grapes ripened fully and had lots of complex varietal flavours and balanced acidity.
