winemaker notes:

WINEMAKER NOTES

The 2007 vintage was most notable for a dry spring followed by a long, moderate growing season without any significant heat spikes. The dry conditions produced small clusters, small berries and controlled vigor. We avoided the worst of the mid-October rains, and with patience and meticulous vineyard management were able to harvest a substantial percentage the last week of October under a full harvest moon. The 2007 Rattlesnake Rock Syrah exhibits beautiful floral aromatics with wonderful complexity, spice and a long finish. This wine has improved tremendously in the past year and will likely be one of the longest lived Rattlesnakes we have produced to date. 320 cases produced.
