1995 Viña Aquitania Cabernet Sauvignon Domaine Paul Bruno

See wine details

"In 1990, two leading winemakers from Bordeaux, Bruno Prats and Paul Pontallier, founded the Domaine Paul Bruno in the foothills of the Andean Cordillera near Santiago. Their objective: to create in Chile one of the finest wines of the New World. The estate, of some 62 acres, was chosen for the exceptional suitability of its terroir for the growing of Cabernet Sauvignon. Domaine Paul Bruno is a completely new style of world class Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines have a unique balance, in which the tannic structure and keeping qualities are disguised by the intensity of the fruit. The nose is pure cassis, mixed with a note of smokiness; on the palate, the wine is soft, supple, and long on the finish. The style is attractive for early drinking but the wines will also age well. Domaine Paul Bruno is made from ungrafted, untreated vines. Consistent with this natural approach, the wines are not filtered at the time of bottling and may develop a harmless sediment." -Winery
