dream Likes this wine: 100 points
September 23, 2022 - A perfectly conditioned bottle brought to dinner by a friend with a great cellar purchased long ago. Not a blow me away wine but one that grew on me so much sip after sip. It's such a classic Pauillac with great depth of dark fruits, graphite minerals, peanut brittle and the most gorgeous silky texture. The thing that got me was the balance of this wine - literally everything is in the right place and there are no flaws! It's layered in such a perfect way and the finish is so satisfyingly complex that I was mesmerized. Even the great '86 drunk alongside showed some flaws only in light of the comparison. A perfect wine in every way if you get the right bottle.
