October 21, 2022 - My first Kongsgaard The Judge. Generously shared by Cristal 2000. I’ve seen the label and I’ve heard the hype. I’ve been pretty meh on California Chardonnay until as of late. I consider myself more of a Chablis guy but I’ve had some offerings that are changing my mind. The Judge has a good amount of body and oak but somehow manages not to be overdone.
It would be interesting to try this wine with a good amount of bottle age. Assuming that these wines age well. Thanks again for your generosity C2.2 people found this helpful 2,725 views

3/26/24, 3:53 PM - IMHO Kongsgaard Chardonnays do not age well "judging" from recent experience with a 2007 Judge and a 2015 regular Kongsgaard. They lack acidity and any minerality to hold up.
