  At first, shortly after opening/ pouring, intense aromas of asphalt and petrol. Appropriate, it became obvious, as the wine opened up in the glass, as if in a drag race, and those scents gave way to raw power - expressed through dark fruit, leather, and roast meats, with flavors that mirrored, then amplified those sensations. Pedal to the metal intensity. Perfect with mushroom risotto, and I can well imagine, charcoal broiled red meats.
