March 25, 2023 - Clear, medium ruby fading to a clear rim.

This wine is quite evolved and really quite disappointing.

Bouquet is heavily aged and dusty.

Tannins are just barely hanging on.

Palate shows lots of wood, tart cranberry and muddy fruit.

    Drink now.

3/25/23, 3:11 PM - I’m sorry that you had a bad experience with this wine. I had the same wine last night, and my bottle was very different. Plenty of life/structure left, an elegant wine with years to go. They say there are no great wines, but only great bottles; this is a vivid example.

I bought mine on release and have stored it properly. That night explain the difference, or it might be simple bottle variation. Wine can be fascinating, but also maddening.

3/25/23, 3:19 PM - It was part of a 1995 Bordeaux horizontal. We had 2 bottles of each wine and this rated last among the group as a whole as well as the guest speaker. Could have been 2 bad bottles
