  September 7, 2023 - Promontory - double blind tasting. 18 Penultimate, 12 Prom and 17 Prom. 21 Prom in barrel, not part of blind tasting.
  
  This was the shock of the blind tasting, but not surprising that it is showing well in a blind. At its price point, maybe a pass for me, but this was one of the better 17s I have had from Napa...ever. These blind tastings really help to remove biases from the tasting and should be done more often. I will most likely try to encourage hosts to do this more for me going forward.
