September 7, 2023 - Napa day trip (Promontory, Dakota Shy, Detert) (Napa): Dark and concentrated blueberries on the nose, accompanied by wet earth, and intense, bright green stems that adds a bit of excitement and freshness amongst the darkness (this blows off with time, I wish it stayed though).
On the palate is a vortex of dark blue and black fruits, fruit infused earth, a trailing swirl of minerals and a gentle, sexy spiced damp oak at the end.
All grapes sourced for this wine are mountain fruit. This is awesome juice and tasty af now. I wished there was just a touch more acidity, not that there wasn't any. Just surprised it was lacking some, being that its all mountain fruit. Nonetheless, amazing showing! A strong 95+2 people found this helpful 1,532 views
