The nose took a bit to open and revealed lovely ripe red berry fruits, lots of baking spice, and some floral notes. Continues to freshen on the nose throughout the evening. The palate is good, but shows a bit too much wood currently; the wood spice and tannin are not quite fully integrated and while I have little doubt the fruit will absorb this, it just needs a few more years to make it happen. Would hold for 3-5.
