  May 6, 2024 - One of the best showings I've had from this wine. Bottle was a purchase from HDH auctions ~5 years ago, fill was base neck. Decanted a couple of hours in advance, and just kept getting better and more intense with air - started out more red fruited with plenty of earth and dried tobacco/herbal notes, but with time the fruit turns deeper and blacker, and some of that old Cordier leathery funk also emerges. Drinking perfectly now with tannins fully resolved and an incredibly silky, polished texture. Gorgeous wine.
