  January 1, 2010 - We celebrate the new year 1 day later. At the Inter Continental, Hua Hin with Maria Sharapova sitting 2 tables away.
  
  Not an ideal bottle of the 1989 Palmer, a tied nose came right off 1st pour. It may have suffered a storage issue during some period.
  
  With time the unpleasant smell was gone. The to die for nose of herbs, wild flowers, red fruits, some tobacco, smokey meat. The wine wasn't quite balanced as the acidity was way too high and the fruits was not lived up the the other elements, perhaps it's a storage problem. Still a very nice and fantastic wine to drink for this 2010 new year
