  February 17, 2010 - The cork was dried and brittle and broke upon opening. Had to push a small bit of it into the bottle. However, the wine itself is in great condition and drinking exceptionally well. Garnet and brick in color. Not much nose to speak of. But on drinking, still bright and filled with fruit - cherry/blackberry up front. A bit of licorice along with hot alcohol mouthfeel in the middle. Long finish with tobacco/flint like characteristics as well as some lingering red fruit and a bit of nice astringency. Compared to other recent reviews, I find this still drinking quite well. However, I plan to finish off what I have left in the cellar since the cork is breaking down.
