  March 14, 2010 - A complex and exuberant wine, bursting with dried currants, spice, pepper and a hint of briars and fresh, newly turned earth. Somehow It didn't seem the best match with a porterhouse for two, spinach au gratin, and sweetish broiled tomatoes. But it was a wonderful thing to drink, nevertheless. Round and smooth in the mouth, finishing a bit tight after its glorious beginning, this wine is everything you want an old vine Zin to be.
