October 16, 2010 - Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): An absolutely mind boggling and profound wine experience - THANK YOU DAVID!
Gorgeous light roasted nuts, fresh baked cake, lightly burnt caramel, some baking spice. The aromatics are INTENSE - practically soaring out of the glass.
Really light on its feet, the palate shows remarkable concentration, acidity with an almost lemony citrus play on the back end.
Some slightly charred orange marmalade coming through as well. A super long finish with only moderate viscosity this wine could go for another fifty years to be honest.
Remarkable - high pitch (agree Phil) and really vibrant aromatics and mouth feel. One of the most memorable single bottles I've ever had the opportunity to sample.
