  December 2, 2010 - Oddly enough this wine was much better right out of the bottle and without food. We paired it with duck (which I thought would be perfect) and the flavor was destroyed. Never had this experience before. When optimal the nose included cherry cola, gunpowder, and a hint of smoked meat. The pallate included berry, light vanilla, but was more tannic than expected. Schizophrenic is the best way I can describe this wine. Agree with boegeman.
