  April 2, 2011 - This is a unique wine. Due to oxidation, the color of this 100% riesling wine is almost exactly the same as a tawny port. Clear appearance with light intensity, tawny color. Clean, pronounced intensity on the nose. No botrytis that we could detect. Medium to high acid (helps to avoid cloying sweetness). No detectible tannins. On the palate, sweet, full-bodied, with notes of honey pear, apricot. Extremely viscous. Although my wife dismisses all dessert wines as cloying and at least questionable, I found this quite exquisite. Very good dessert wine.
