Intoxicating nose, black fruits, tar, smoke, as both Mike and FMIII state, this is one expressive, aromatic wine. Midweight in the mouth, with an amazing array of flavors - blackberries, roasted meat, roasted beets, graphite, black licorice; all punctuated by that classic citrus note that arrives midpalate and explodes on the finish that just lifts all of these to a new dimension. Very harmonious wine. One of the best wines I've had this year.
