  September 14, 2011 - Opened a bottle for our anniversary dinner. Decanted and breathed for about 30 minutes. Smooth as silk. Tobacco, cherry, and hints of spice dominate the palate. Well balanced. Paired superbly with savory foie gras and beef tenderloin. Paired on slightly less well with my wife's spicy gnocci bolognese.
