  November 27, 2011 - Quite a unique syrah. It started out with the usual dark fruit, pepper and smoke on the nose. However, on the palate a wonderfully intriguing, and very prominent, component of lapsang souchong tea (along with dark berries and the white pepper already mentioned here). I love getting a wine that surprises me, and this syrah makes me appreciate a winemaker that crafts "outside the box." Really worth seeking this one out.
