  July 6, 2012 - Concentrated blackish purple. First a blast of screwcap reduction, then a big, butch nose, still very young but layers of primary fruit, smoke, herbs. Butch on the palate as well, young, that oily primary feeling, very fat fruit but it's kept in line, excellent acidity and the oak and tannins are barely noticeable. Obviously too young but it's very attractive and already multi-layered and complex. Great effort and surely on its path to greatness in ten or twenty or maybe even thirty years time. But... why screwcap? 90++
