  July 25, 2012 - On the nose you get some hints oak, and the resulting vanilla, along with a very fragrant raspberry. It is clear that this is not an old world style wine. The flavors of this wine immediately explode in dark raspberries and dark chocolate. However, this wine is not a completely over-the-top fruit bomb. There is a very nice balsamic and tart cranberry characteristic in the mid-palate that balances the front-end fruit nicely. This wine is opulent and big, but not terribly deep. It is tasty, which is not a bad thing, but it isn't going to change anyone's world.
