  October 11, 2012 - This had a lot of complexity one would desire from Napa Valley Cab, and it had the usual taste. What kept this from being over the top (90 +) was that it just was not all that robust. It lacked much in the way of tannins or more than a medium finish. Did not stand up as well to a fairly robust dish as I wanted. Would be awesome as a Cab sipping wine, with either no food accompanying or rather light appetizers. Did love the complexity, the fruit, touch of wood..ah, that Napa Valley taste. Just don't fool yourself into believing that for $20 you are getting Big Boy Napa Valley juice that runs $40 and way up for a discount price. Bottom line, given the market for Napa Valley Cabs, this is a solid value at $20, just don't expect to be blown away.
