December 22, 2012 - The sommelier wisely advised that we shouldn't decant. He was correct and he also mentioned that post decanting this wine sort of dies off fast. Open singing nose, black fruit, light oak, floral, spice and a touch of liquorice on the finish. Very elegant nose. On the palate the wine feels right , firm with good exctraction and density , silky tannin, solid fruit core but not overdone. Good acidity. The 15% alc is not that evident and although there is Heat on the finish this is a very well made wine with a super long finish. This is no shying lady but a full one wine however Even Bordeaux purists like us who usually hate "made" wines really like this one. Drink now. 93-94
