  January 5, 2013 - Had two of these so thought I would try one. Quite enjoyable. Nose was very perfumed with faint florals and beef jerky. On the palate this struck a great balance of having a lot of weight and substance and yet being quite delicate and nimble despite its size. Tannins were present but not obtrusive. To me, the dark fruits were somewhat in the background in a supportive roll, with the main characters being beef jerky, bacon, iron, and sweet tobacco. Not one of my favorite syrahs from morgan but still quite tasty. I think it has a ways to go and wont open my last one for a couple of years.
