January 16, 2013 - Surprisingly thin, without much nose or mouthfeel. Had nice flavors that opened up a bit in the glass. Perhaps it is in a dumb phase.

1/18/13, 11:18 AM - Thanks -- I knew it was young, but expected a little more weight. I bought 3 (and a half...) bottles so I could try it at different stages, so I know now to wait a few years before number 2.
Has anyone tried the '09 Bordeaux yet? We opened the 2009 Les Pagodes de Cos at the same tasting and it was really very good. -

1/18/13, 4:26 PM - I haven't, but know people who have. Its starting to close shop, but its brute power is quite obvious. A local has some bottles for $86, and thinking of picking up an extra. Leoville Barton seem to need the most time in bottle of the 3 Leoville to come out of things after their deep sleep. The 2000 is built like a cold war bomb shelter, where the Poyferre is singing with just a couple hour decant. I love all 3 but Las Cases is just to expensive in years other than '08 and other where the still are higher than the average. I will wait until 2015 to pop the first 2000 LLC,
