March 11, 2013 - The second time I've had this wine. Consumed with dinner at Black's Bar and Kitchen in Bethesda Maryland where I took my wife for her birthday. This is really her wine since we discovered it during a trip last year to the Sonoma Coast and she won't let me open a bottle without her being there. Paired it with a grilled veal scallopini for me, rich seafood stew for my son, and absolutely wonderful scallops for my wife.
Absolutely beautiful wine. Rich, deep ruby color. Nice legs. Very expressive nose. Wonderful dark fruits, with a hint of chocolate, cedar, and anise. Long, long finish. I wish I had been able to buy more when I did.4,599 views
