  August 20, 2013 - Typically an off-dry cuvee and this vintage is no exception. The expression of honeyed fruit, gentle minerality finished off with bitter citrus peel is quite nice. This vintage is less round, less rich than the '09 and there is adequate acidity to balance the residual sugar; the '09 came across as flabby to me. On Day 2 however, this wine was singing. The acid was front and center which pushed any hint of sweetness away. Crisp, clean and focused, this wine will last decades.
