Community Tasting Note

  • Chasse_spleen Likes this wine: 93 points

September 14, 2013 - The initial nose is all Pauillac, cigar-box, pencil-shavings. But gradually the wine unfolds with a peacock-tail of spices (cinnamon, cardamom), before ending with distinct licorice notes. Better fruit than we expected.

The tannins are melting down, but still maintains a structure. The acidity remains the backbone.

Overall a very rewarding wine, still refreshing and not heavy.

Well, I would say that it will not really get better, but it will remain on this level for many years to come. So no hurry to drink up.
