  September 25, 2013 - I'll wait on rating this wine until I've tried it again. Did a Coravin 3 oz pour and let it sit in the glass for two hours. 16.2% abv, and it seems like more. I switched from a Syrah glass to a Bordeaux to let the alcohol blow off a bit more, but it still overpowers. Very full bodied and massive fruit. Silky texture. After a a few sips, you can get past the alcohol (maybe the senses are just numb by then), but I don't see the typical syrah earth, leather, tobacco, funk characteristics - just syrupy dark fruit. For me, it's much ado about nothing....
