December 21, 2012 - Drank twice, the first time was 2004 vintage when visiting Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere, the second time was the fabulous 2000 vintage. I was surprised by its balance, it was not over-ripen at all, the body was full but the tannins were nice and smooth. The nose, woooooo... All sorts of ripen black berries, plums , violet, mocha, vanilla, chocolate... Imagine that the 2000 vintage was still in youth like this, should wait for another decade to reach its peak.
