November 26, 2013 - Opened 3 hours prior to drinking. Currant, roasted herbs, au jus. Medium body, good finish, tannins were present but not over powering. This seems to be coming out of a bad phase but hasn't reached the heights of a few years ago. Hopefully it will continue to improve as we have most of the case left and I was looking forward to it become a great wine.

11/26/13, 8:23 AM - HOS, I have a couple of cases and I'm pretty sure it will come into its best in around 2015 then stay on a plateau for a couple of years. I have talked with Albert Tesseron about this and he shares a similar view. Personally, I'm pretty confident that Pontet-Canet will be the longest-lasting and most interesting of the 2003s….. even compared to the usual sleepers such as Leoville Las Cases.
