Community Tasting Note

  • swapdoc Does not like this wine:

December 18, 2012 - A disappointing effort overall. The wine is unfocused, with little structure, made to be drunk early and tastes to me somewhat artificial. There is certainly some sweetness in the palate but it feels forced and emphasized at the expense of the overall harmony. The wine was drunk over 4 hours, and though gradually continuing to improve, it never really revealed the perfume and dazzle of the nebbiolo. There are many better and more genuine entry barolos in the market at $30. Have to disagree with the critics on this one.

12/18/13, 9:50 AM - my experience as well. A shame to produce such an inferior product; I can't help but think this was their goal - sub par juice with nothing redeeming at all.

12/18/13, 10:32 AM - nope, agree with your new note, too. A wine is a living thing. One bottle/taste/note doesn't capture the entirety of a wine, just captures the wine at that moment, from that bottle. So I agree with your new note, too :D
