January 8, 2014 - Delicious, but quite young and primary. Had to try one of these to see where it was after trying it a year ago at the winery. Lovely nose of bing cherry, red raspberry, baking spice, damp earth. With an hour or so in the glass the fruit became a little riper and darker with black cherry notes. The palate is very lively with fantastic acidity and lots of red fruit, minerality, and earth. I think this is going to turn into a stellar wine, but it is quite young at this point. With another 5-10 years of bottle age I think it will develop more complexity and incorporate its acidity even more. A very nice effort. I probably won't try another for at least 4-5 years.
