  January 10, 2014 - Drinking nicely, still some bite - will keep. beautifully integrated and polished across the palate - black fruit cassisy notes - the excellent finish is still marked by some dryness. I find the taste/flavor of this wine really in my ballpark - may not be in yours. Likely not up to Sociando-Mallot in better vintages like 2000 and 2005, but particularly given its ranking, a show stopper in 2003. Does like many 2003's have that acidic note on the tip of the tongue that I have always associated with acidification, but I'm fine with it given the really wonderful fruit/extract trade off.
