April 13, 2014 - Very interesting stuff. We chilled it for about 20 minutes before serving. On the nose it's got beeswax, floral perfume, and limes. The palate was somewhat confusing because the attack is quite nice, with fresh acidity and lively flavors. The finish though is odd, with a strange bitter, salty kind of sensation when you swallow. I liked every part of the wine but that.

2/2/15, 2:03 PM - It could just be the picpoul from that site, or maybe it was pressed too hard?

2/2/15, 2:13 PM - Yeah, I wondered about that too, thanks. The ABV is 12%, I wonder if the funky aftertaste is due to acidulation?
