June 2, 2014 - Definitely needs some time and will develop. Hot on the nose and a touch thin. But it is a beautiful expression of balanced, elegant syrah. Fruit and smoke with light earth and not much climate on the mouthfeel or taste. Instead it is thin and refined, ready to drink with or without food. Give it time and it will be even better I'm sure.

6/4/14, 10:56 AM - Thank you, Rkosd. What you taste is cool climate Syrah from a cold vintage, so it comes across as more refined and less powerful than a warmer vintage wine. Try it with cassoulet to see how it cuts through the fat of the sausage.
Cheers,
